The shoegazing alt-country outfit is heading out on tour
This Boston-formed country band has been winning over music fans with their diverse style since winning the John Lennon Songwriting Contest in 2006 and self-financing the recording of their debut album 'In This Episode'. With their key influences in classic pop and swing era jazz, they often cite The Beatles as their main inspiration.
The Cowboy Junkies heady blend of folk, country, and blues with a dreamy pop quality lies at the intersection between the old school Americana legends and the new school of poetic, hazy rock championed by the likes of The Velvet Underground. The ever-popular genre-bending outfit is hitting the road on tour, bringing their sleepy siren songs along for the ride.
Michigan folk outfit The Crane Wives hit the road this summer for a North American tour in the buildup to the release of their latest studio album Beyond Beyond Beyond! Their latest single "Arcturus Beaming" has set the tone for the much anticipated new record, their first in eight years, and is a welcome return to them releasing music.
